E-mail Abuse

E-mail Abuse is the sending or receiving of unsolicited messages. The term unsolicited E-mail covers any message with commercial advertising content received by persons or entities who have not explicitly agreed to be included the respecitve mailing list. In the event that a person has agreed to receiving such messages they must also be provided with a clear procedure to "Opt-Out" of the service, thereby preventing any more such E-mails being recieved. broken into two categories:

  • Incoming E-mail Abuse:
    • Unsolicited E-mail received on accounts hosted by Shadow Security. These E-mails are most commonly sent in mass quantities by hijacked Mail Servers and often contain (but are not limited to) advertising or pornographic material.

  • Outgoing E-mail Abuse:
    • Outgoing E-mail Abuse occurs where E-mail accounts hosted by Shadow Security are utilised to trasmit unsolicited messages.
